Petron’s Royal Connection

1st Royal Loft
In 1983 Petron were commissioned to build a new loft for the now late Queen Elizabeth II. The loft at the time was the most modern style for pigeon racing and was designed for the loft manager Mr Alan Pearce.

2nd Royal Loft
In the early 90’s a new loft was built which reflected new designs and modern racing accessories.
The loft manager was Mr Carlo Napolitano who liked to fly to the open door system of racing.
3rd & current Royal Loft
Todays loft completed in 2015 just shows how loft design has advanced over the years incorporating new trapping systems for electronic timing.
The Build
The new Royal loft which was completed in September 2015 is 23m x 3m and has 8 compartments plus a large corn store. The loft is designed for Widowhood and Natural racing and features front aviaries to all sections.
Birds are released from the aviaries and enter the loft via the trapping systems. Mr Farrow, the loft manager, is now in the process of breeding for the Young Bird season and is looking forward to racing from the new loft.
